Rounds 7 and 8 were held this past weekend at a new venue in Sioux Falls, SD. Normally we would have been in the state of New York, but covid changed that this year.

Sioux Falls was a tight and technical track. This did not disappoint the great number of fans that were in the stands. For being a first year venue, it really pulled off a great weekend of racing.

Travis Kern went 6-2 in his rounds on Friday. A great start found Travis Kern up front, and he was able to hold the 2nd place finish on the box! We are thrilled for the way Travis continues to find his way to the podium. Saturday brought out the LCQ for Travis. Starting in the 13th position for the start of the final, Travis worked his way up to a 6th place finish. This was important, as the points race is close. Consistency is really paying off for Travis, and he left the weekend in 2nd place for pro lite points.

Cole Cottew has been finding some better qualifying rounds but had some tough breaks during the finals. Cole went 3-5 in his rounds on Friday. He was running midpack at the start of the final, but a mechanical issue left Cole watching the remainder of the final from the infield.

Saturday Cole went 3-6 in his rounds, and an off in the corner had him finishing in 12th. Cole is continuing to make gains, and we can’t wait to see what the next weekend will bring for him.

The backbone of this team are the mechanics, everybody at Polaris, Walker Evans Shocks, and Speedwerx

Thanks Conrad Evans, Jeff Haskamp, and Corey Verdoljak for being the foundation to this team!

The team continues to be amazed by the support of Fly Racing. Cottew Motorsports would also like to thank Polaris, Fly Racing, Western Power Sports, Ditch Witch of Minnesota and Iowa, Aggressive Hydraulics, Hayford Ford, Bid 2 Buy, Amsoil, Walker Evans Shocks, Stud Boy Traction, Hanco Utilities, Northern Chill, Rox Speed FX, Caliber & C & A Pro Skis.
